Our mega borer Nancy has finished the job, arriving at Barangaroo Station in spectacular fashion through a wall of sandstone. It marks the end of a 15-month excavation to deliver Sydney’s newest metro railway tunnels. Since launching from Marrickville in October last year, Nancy has tunnelled through 8.1 kilometres of sandstone and shale in a spectacular engineering feat deep under the centre of Sydney.
