Guests turned up in 1930s outfits to celebrate 80 years since the opening of the Cronulla line which opened in 1939. The new line included remodelling of Sutherland Station, five new intermediate stations (Kirrawee, Gymea, Miranda, Caringbah and Woolooware) and a new terminus at Cronulla, all designed in the inter-war ‘Functionalist’ style.
