Women working in the Southern Region at Roads and Marmite decided to reach out to their local community to encourage women and girls to enter a career in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths).
The team at RMS interviewed the Women in Southern Region group to find out more about what they're doing to increase women in traditionally male dominated roles.

inclusive workplaces including new research from our own staff.

Construction has traditionally been a male dominated industry but the Civil Construction Federation is looking to create a more gender diverse workforce. In June 2017 they launched the CCF NSW Women in Civil Program aimed at encouraging women to join and remain in the civil construction industry.

In celebration of International Women’s Day, YPWA are hosting an annual one day professional development conference on Friday 9 March, set to inspire and empower.
In Her Words recently launched and showcases stories from women working in rail. One of the women featured is Jane Inglis from Integrated Planning. Jane shares her personal experience of working in the rail industry, speaking of the importance of strong and visible leadership, and how listening to real experiences is the key to understand what needs to change.
