Exercising increases your productivity and gets your endorphins going which means you will be more awake and energised, ready to tackle your day. Research shows that working out can increase your mental clarity for four to 10 hours post-exercise so get moving!

2. Set career goals

Set both short and long term goals and come up with a plan on how to achieve them in a realistic time frame. Make sure your goals are specific and achievable.

Once you have set your goals for the year you then need to put them into action. Don’t be afraid to take risks and put your hand up for opportunities that will help give you the skills and tools to develop your career.

Asking someone to be your mentor can sometimes feel unnatural. Instead you should try adopting a mentor. Take the time to think about someone who inspires you, then next time you meet with them follow up with an email. Send them an interesting article or connect them with someone who they might find helpful.
