Topic 11: Human Centered Design

Human centered design is a creative approach to problem solving. It is commonly used in design and management frameworks that develops solutions to problems by involving the human perspective in all steps of the problem-solving process.

The Transport Digital Accelerator follows a four phase approach:

Prioritise - In this phase you scope the problem and work with business collaboratively to set up the project for success.

Understand - In this phase, you conduct exploratory research to gain a clear understanding of the problem from a business, market and customer perspective.

Ideate/Prototype/Solutions - In this phase you ideate around the defined problem to produce a prototype. The business and customer then provide feedback which is incorporated into the final solution.

Scale - In this phase you work with business collaboratively to transition the project into implementation and delivery.

    - Pull, don't push

    - 'N of 1' is not proof
