The Transport Narrative

Feedback from the NSW public, stakeholders and our employees tell us that people want to know the big picture of roads and public transport in the state; our vision and our plan to achieve it.

That's why we developed the Transport Narrative - an overarching story that contains a structure, messaging and even syntax that we know resonates with our customers and the NSW public.

The narrative helps us to overcome communication barriers by firstly acknowledging the public's concerns and giving them examples of what we've already delivered, to prove that we are delivering for them. We then give them examples of our exciting plans for the future. It's a storytelling approach, that works. People are more open to listening, because we have gained credibility and addressed important points for them up front.

The plan for transport in NSW

Future Transport 2056 is our 40 year plan for regional NSW and Greater Sydney.

While the public want to know we have a plan, they are currently more concerned with transport delivery now and the near future. So the Transport Narrative focuses on what we will deliver in the next 5-8 years.
