The Sydney Trains Blue Mountains Line bushfire response and recovery effort won the Customer Service category at the 2020 Australasian Rail Industry Awards. Glen Xuereb, Manager Civil Programs, Engineering and Maintenance, accepted the Customer Service Award on behalf of the Blue Mountains Line Bushfire Response and Recovery team for maintaining essential services and keeping the public informed in the wake of bushfires that ravaged part of the rail line in December.
