Excavation is nearing completion for the Martin Place metro station and the integrated development above it, with more than 151,000 tonnes of crushed rock now removed - enough to fill 25 Olympic swimming pools. The underground connection will provide customers direct access to metro services when the City and Southwest line opens in 2024.
