Tuesday 30 June 2020 - Corporate Services, Office of the Secretary and People & Culture (Workplaces) Evolving Transport update

The Office of the Secretary interim structure has now been determined, and includes several teams moving to Corporate Services and People & Culture divisions from 1 July, which you can see in the determination pack. These changes include the Office of the Secretary becoming a smaller team which has two key functions to support the Secretary in his role and to provide support, guidance, and forward-agenda setting for the rest of the organisation and key stakeholders. These changes reflect that we no longer need a large central team to coordinate work as how we are set up as an organisation allows for work to be coordinated across divisions.

Fiona Trussell, will move in to act in the Deputy Secretary Corporate Services role as Anne Hayes steps into the Chief Executive role at the Transport Asset Holding Entity (TAHE) for six months from 1 July.

Other key changes include moving the Workplaces branch and the Investigations team into People & Culture. There is increasing integration of workplaces and the People Strategy so this move will enhance this. These changes are being stood up from Wednesday 1 July and all teams and branches referred to in this determination are part of Group C organisational design process, except for Workplaces which is undergoing a reform process as part of BAU.
