An annual event, highlighting the southern migration of whales, the Eden Whale Festival celebrates the rich maritime and whaling history at the port of Eden. The will be a parade, market selling local art, food & wine and live music.

The best part? Watching the whales from Twofold Bay, either from a boat or from the shore.

Loy Krathong Festival, Parramatta

17 November 2018

Learn about Thai traditions with cultural performances, games and food at the Loy Krathong Festival in Parramatta. Loy Krathong symbolises the release of negativity and the wish for a good fortune.

There will also be an opportunity to participate in the krathong floating ceremony, an ancient ritual, by making or buying your own krathong (floating basket) and floating it in the river.

National Cherry Festival, Young

2018 celebrates the 69th annual Cherry Festival during the peak cherry picking season. The three day festival celebrates the cherry season in Young (known as the Cherry Capital of Australia) with a street parade, markets and cherry themed competitions such as a cherry pie eating championship and a cherry pip spitting competition!
