Christmas in the City – George St, Pitt St and Martin Place Precinct

The heart of Sydney CBD will come to life in December as we kick off the Christmas season. Sing along with carollers every night under the beautifully lit Martin Place tree, walk under the Canopy of Light at Pitt St Mall and grab some sweet treats from the pop-up GPO Dessert Bar. Variety – The Children’s Charity will also be selling Santa stocking filled with goodies so there will definitely be plenty of festivity as you do your Christmas shopping.


The Lights of Christmas – St Mary’s Cathedral
5 Dec – 25 Dec 2018

St Mary’s Cathedral is once again hosting The Lights of Christmas; a beautiful light projection show on one of our best-known cathedral churches. Every night, choirs will be singing Christmas carols from 7:30pm before the lights turn on at 8:30pm. Partnered with St Vincent’s Hospital, the show will be raising funds for the Heart and Lung Transplantation program, so make sure you pop by for this popular Christmas light show! Nutcracker Christmas at The Grounds – The Grounds of Alexandria

The Grounds have partnered with Disney’s new movie The Nutcracker and the Four Realms to create a magical holiday walk-through experience. Explore the laneways which have been transformed into the Land of Sweets, the Land of Flowers and the Land of Snowflakes (there’s real snowfall!). Running for their 36th time, Carols in the Domain are back for another year with some of Australia’s biggest stars to celebrate the spirit of Christmas.
