Milestone Moments: Our train carriages are about to get cooler!

Good news! We’ve started testing the first of 24 brand new, air-conditioned suburban trains on our tracks at Auburn.

The carriages form part of our $1.5 billion More Trains, More Services program that, along with cooler carriages, will also provide safer and more accessible journeys for our customers thanks to more CCTV cameras, customer help points and information screens.

The new trains will allow us to phase out older S-sets with the top priority for new trains given to areas where older trains are currently running.
