In an Australian-first, Sydney Trains customers will now be able to choose the right carriage to sit in based on real-time train occupancy data.
By using the average weight of a NSW train passenger, the app determines the occupancy of each carriage as the train doors close allowing customers to see how full their train is before it arrives.
The data will be available for more than 600,000 customer trips on Waratah trains every day!
