'Ready Set Grow' - Development Goal Program

Background

The People Matter Employee Survey (PMES) survey results consistently tell us that development is the number one driver of engagement.

However, not all development can be in the form of a course or program. The majority of development is on the job. As such, the"Ready, Set, Grow" initiative encourages all staff to change ordevelop one small thing in the year ahead to improve themselves and their work.

The initiative is intended to be a New Year’s resolution style with an audience of all staff across the Transport cluster – from frontline, to executive. It encourages staff to think outside the traditional development courses and programs / compliance mindset, and instead look at simple, quick and easy things they can change that are within their immediate control during times of change.

Objectives

Every employee across the cluster to identify and action or step they can take to develop or change for the year ahead.

Every employee to work towards achieving their goal to have a beneficial impact on the work we do as a Cluster.

Improved skills and behaviours, leading to better customer and community outcomes.
