· Designed new functional models/leadership structure for each of our divisions to align with the place-based, customer focus of our operating model.
Why did we need this change
· Set ourselves up to deliver Future Transport
· Focused on making us more customer/community focused, delivering integrated services and planning.
What was the big milestone/s you worked towards
· Consulted with the business in November and announced new functional models and top level structures on 9 December
· The new branches and leadership came into place on 9 Dec for IP and 3 Feb for all other divisions.
So now, what do we have because of this?
· Each division has fleshed out core purpose and key accountabilities and new branches set up to deliver on those
· Leaders appointed or acting now in place to take this work forward
· Designing and consulting on the models/structures for all divisions together means we have better understanding of how the pieces fit together across the org, highlighted areas of opportunity and where we may need to do more work e.g.interdependencies/workstreams.
What’s next
· Getting into the design of our branches and teams
· Received alot of great feedback so far – taking that forward and using it to informed designs – continuing to gather ideas and feedback from our people, customers and stakeholders
· Continue to take a connected approach across functions – designing functions that are highly connected at the same time.
