Terms and Conditions

  1. By entering the “Transport for NSW | 2017 Timetable competition” (the “Competition”), you agree to the following terms and conditions.
  2. Entry is open to all staff (including labour hire) of TfNSW, Roads and Maritime Services, Sydney Trains, NSW Trains and State Transit Authority.
  3. In order to enter, you must:
    1. “Like” or “Share” the timetable post from the Transport for NSW Facebook page on Sunday 15 October at 2pm; and then
    2. Register and Login to The Buzz and tell us in the comments how the new timetable will improve the way you travel. (together, the “Entry Requirements”).
  4. You must complete both steps of the Entry Requirements during the Competition Period (“Eligible Entry”). Each person may enter the Competition only once.
  5. Entries open at 9am Sunday 15 October and close Sunday 12 November at 5pm. Late Entries will not be accepted (“Competition Period”).
  6. The judges will select one winner from the eligible entries. The winner will be announced at 18 Lee St, Chippendale, NSW on Friday 17 November.
  7. The winner will be entitled to select one of the following prizes:
    1. A return trip on XPT for you and a friend in first class seats or a first class sleeper (overnight trains only)*
    2. An Opal card loaded with $250 value*
    3. A private tour for you and 10 friends around the St James Station tunnels*
    4. A family pass (5 tickets) to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks (9pm or midnight) on the Cahill Expressway – one of the best vantage points in Sydney!*
  8. The winner must produce a screen shot of the Liked or Shared Transport Facebook post on their Facebook newsfeed in order to claim their prize.
  9. In participating in the Competition, the winner agrees to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the Competition, including but not limited to being interviewed, photographed and social media activity. The winner grant TfNSW a perpetual, irrevocable and royalty free licence to use any entry material, footage or photographs for any purpose and the winner will receive no fee if material is used.
  10. TfNSW is not liable for any loss, damage, personal injury or death whatsoever (including, but not limited to, any direct, indirect or consequential loss) suffered or sustained in connection with the Competition, the acceptance or participation of any prize or any act or omission (whether negligent or not) of TfNSW or any person associated with TfNSW, except to the extent that any liability cannot be excluded by law.
