A barge carrying a sewerage truck with approximately 10,000 litres of wet sewage rolled over near Great Mackerel Beach Pitwater.. Maritime quickly jumped into action taking over as lead agency and supported by FRNSW (HAZMAT), EPA, DPI, AMSA and Port Authority of NSW. After many weeks of hard work, both the barge and the truck were removed from the water safely.
