Early in January, Sydney Metro’s third tunnel boring machine, ‘Wendy’, began tunnelling the 6.2 kilometres tunnel between Chatswood to the edge of Sydney Harbour at Blues Point. Wendy joins tunnel boring machines, Nancy and Mum Shirl, the mega borers which launched last year and are now tunnelling from Marrickville towards the CBD.
