Transport around the world - Singing Dutch road

A road located near the Dutch village of Jelsum, recently had "rumble strips" installed in certain sections to make the straight drive a bit more interesting.

When a car drives over the strips at the 40mph speed limit, the highway sings out the regional anthem of Friesland.

Although this may seem like a cool concept, the novelty was short lived when many complained the sound travelling through the village was keeping the residents awake at night. The local council has since agreed to remove the sound strips from the highway.
