To help protect you against getting the flu, Transport for NSW offer you a free quadrivalent influenza vaccination every year. This includes all contractors and people who are assigned to Transport for NSW, including Talent Participants.

With the recent changes to the way we work in response to the Coronavirus, we have revised the way we will deliver our flu vaccination program.

Once the Ambassador has submitted a branch profile for preferences, we will seek your help in supporting your Senior Leader, to promote development opportunities to host a Graduate to your Branch nominated Ambassador where appropriate. Please refer to this information pack outlining the process and key dates.

    Have a question?
Contact Mary Kaloustian or TalentPrograms@transport.nsw.gov.au if you require clarify on the process. If you have a question, please submit through our survey link and these will be answered in an FAQ and help inform virtual drop in sessions which will be promoted to you.

  • Working from home and accruing flex

As per the policy, Participants are able to accrue flex time whilst working from home. In the first instance, we have asked them to speak to you, their Placement Manager, regarding their workload and working hours. We also encourage them to keep an account or log of what they are working on during this time of remote working. As per usual, Participants need to record their working hours in the manual timesheet and ensure they are getting your approval, inclusive of any additional flex time accrued.

  • Participants and Easter Flex

Our Graduates, Cadets, Scholars and VET Cadets are eligible for Easter Flex.

Normally they can apply to take up to 6 standard flex days in each 12-week settlement period. For each settlement period ending 26 April, they can apply to take an additional Easter half-day flex on Thursday 9 April, making a total of up to 6 ½ flex days for this settlement period only. If you direct them to work for the whole day on Thursday 9 April, you can approve for them to take the additional Easter half-day flex on another day during that settlement period only. They can combine the additional Easter half-day flex with other flex days or other types of leave.

To apply for Easter half-day flex please don’t ask them to put anything into Transport Equip. They complete their timesheet on a manual form and as a result, the process is as follows. They need to put in the hours they worked with a comment that they have taken Easter half-day flex. For example, if they worked from 8:30 – 12:00 pm (3 ½ hours) without a lunch break and they wish to use Easter half-day flex, they need to put a comment mentioning that they have used this.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team.
