People and Culture teams coming together to support change

Dealing with change and uncertainty at any time can be hard and having extra information, skills and tools up your sleeve can really help to understand how to respond well to change, set goals and develop action plans.

That’s why People and Culture teams across RMS and TfNSW have joined forces to bring more support and resources to our people across NSW as we prepare to transition to our new operating model.

In late May, 48 people partners (and support staff) came together to learn how to facilitate sessions focused on equipping our people with techniques to stay resilient, and to develop tools to support leaders to manage change with their teams.

Face-to-face sessions

So far almost 100 (and counting) people and leaders across RMS and TfNSW have benefited from attending these 90 minute long sessions with their people partners, with more sessions planned throughout June.

These sessions are now available in Equip for self-registration:

  • Individuals: MCI01F - Managing Ourselves Through Change and Uncertainty
  • Managers: MCL01F - Managing Others Through Change and Uncertainty

Other guides and templates

The extra support doesn’t stop there. Our people partners have also collaborated to create a suite of practical guides and meeting templates for our people leaders. These can be used to help them identify how their teams may be feeling during change, to understand their role in supporting change, and to use strategies and lead conversations that recognise and build on team achievements.

You can find all these materials and access a host of other online information and tools on our new Evolving Transport support page.
