NO OPAL CARD? NO WORRIES

Transport for NSW has launched an Australian first trial where customers can travel on the Sydney Ferries F1 Manly to Circular Quay service with a simple tap of their Mastercard card or mobile device at the gate.

The iconic service will be used to trial new technology that will see Opal Card readers updated to also accept credit, debit, or a mobile device linked to one of a Mastercard account with other providers set to join the trial later.

NSW will be the first state in Australia to trial this technology with only a handful of transport networks around the world offering similar options.
