MOVE: The Future of Transport

On Monday 26 November, 15 Talent participants were invited to be a part of the live studio audience for MOVE, a new TV series that explores the future of transport. Hosted by Stephanie Bendixsen, the 6 episode series explores the recent developments in transportation and the future of personalised travel, flying taxis and drone delivery. Each episode features a special guest including the Co-founder of Blackbird Ventures, Niki Scevak, and the General Manager of Uber Australia and New Zealand, Susan Anderson, who gave us the inside scoop on some of these developments and what is yet to come.

Talent Participants Bianca Lao, Akash Mohan, Amy Maher, Mariam Mesiha and Natalia Kuirintinus on the set of MOVE.

The show also highlights the role of data and artificial intelligence in improving ways to travel. One of the episodes featured the amazing systems and technology that are utilised at our very own Rail Operation Centre (ROC), which ensures that our train network is running smoothly and that any incidents are quickly identified and resolved.

The filming event was attended by some special guests, including Minister for Transport and Infrastructure, The Hon. Andrew Constance MP, and our very own Secretary, Rodd Staples. The Chief Commissioner for the Greater Sydney Commission, Lucy Turnbull also paid a visit to the set as she recognised the work that is being undertaken by TfNSW and emphasised the importance of forming partnerships to make Sydney one of the leading public transport cities in the world.

Amongst the audience were start-up tech companies, including Lime Wire. You might have recently seen their green solar-powered push bikes across Sydney, but they have also launched electric scooters too. Some of these scooters were brought along to the event and attendees were encouraged to have a go on them!

It was nothing short of fun and a bit of an adrenaline rush!
