Milestone Moments – $820 million road upgrade opens

It was a significant day for motorists when 18 kilometres of the Oxley Highway to Kundabung section opened last Friday.

Since this road upgrade began, the number of fatalities on this road has halved. In addition to the improved safety, motorists are also enjoying a more efficient journey: saving close to two hours of driving time between Hexham and the Queensland border.

So let's give another shout out to the good folk at Roads and Maritime who have made yet another major milestone happen.
