Leader Buzz with Rodd Staples

Redfern Walk

On Tuesday I was taken on a tour of Redfern of by an Aboriginal guide, Aunty Donna, learning lots about the history of the Aboriginal experience in Redfern and the hard work that has been done by Aboriginal people to establish social support services in the area. The insight was a real contrast to some of my earliest childhood memories visiting my grandmothers house in Redfern.

Thanks to Nathan Ross from the Sydney Metro for making it happen.

TfNSW Talent Forum and Awards

Two weeks into the job and one of my highlights so far has been spending time with the transport cluster talent group. If the enthusiasm and great questions is anything to go by, we have a great group of future leaders and specialists coming through at the entry levels of our cluster. Congrats to the award nominees and finalists, and thanks to all involved in organising the event.
