Keeping you in the Loop Issue #54

Hello all,

This edition of the Loop is coming to you courtesy of Stacey and Steph P….two for one in a short week and a brilliant example of team collaboration!

We trust you all enjoyed the extra day off this week and have made a seamless adjustment to daylight savings….isn’t it great to have some extra daylight in the evenings?

In keeping with the short week, we will attempt to keep this update short also…last Wednesday we all enjoyed some time together, hearing from Paula and Tony from Resource Advisory. During their update we were taken on a whirlwind tour

During their update we were taken on a whirlwind tour of the coaching and development support they have been providing to the OD Leadership team over the last 12 months or s as well as the more recent program they facilitated for 40 representatives across Group OD. A key output of this program was a revised set of OD Commitments and supporting behaviours….these will be loaded onto The Source very soon.

After the Resource Advisory update, we all came together for a morning tea, focussed on an R U OK? Safety Moment. This was a good opportunity to come together, engage in conversations and served as a strong reminder to us all to reach out to those we work with….if you haven’t already seen it, click on the picture below to see a great short infographic which serves as a reminder to us all how easy it can be to check in with a colleague.

Another way to support our wellbeing is the upcoming wellbeing workshops. We understand that your performance at work and your feeling of fulfilment in your personal life are all linked to your well-being; which brings me to my questions: how is your well-being bank account doing? Does it need a top up?

To help you answer these questions, and learn how to top up your 'account', we will be holding a number of ‘Finding Balance – Mindfulness Workshops’ across various locations across the cluster (including one at Petersham). These sessions are a great opportunity to actively participate in practical mindfulness exercises and activities. Bookings are essential as there are limited spots available. You can book a place here.

Also a friendly reminder to you all – Transport has an EAP available to all. Click here for further details.

A key business update we need to get you all across relates to the Secretary’s update regarding cost saving actions, including a recruitment freeze, please see here for more details...Please talk to your Director if you need any more information about what it means for us.

Soul Machines visited last week which was a real treat, many people from across the business came along and those who stayed for the ‘how will we use AI’ workshop came up with many ideas! ’twas ironic that we had ‘bleeding edge’ technology to experience but had web conferencing issues!

Check out how Digital Humans are being used now in customer service!

Have a great weekend :)
