Hunger Bites

Buying lunch every day as you’ve just started your career can get a bit too much at times. Not only do all those burgers, sandwiches, unhealthy salads, snacks, and coffee add up and deflate your entire savings, but also creep up onto your belly real fast!

There are plenty of kitchen appliances that we can do so much with. You’ve got your infamous microwave, sandwich press and very handy hot water tap. With these three appliances you can make just about anything. Check out below some healthy three ingredient recipes that you can easily make in your kitchen.

Toasties

  • Loaf of bread (for the week)
  • Cheese
  • Ham

Whip this sandwich together into the sandwich press and it will make it the perfect toasty. Don’t forget to season it with salt and pepper. You could also add in or swap out ingredients like: tomatoes, falafels, avocado, onions, pickles, seeded mustard, lettuce or even add some hummus.

Pizza pie

  • Whole grain pita bread (because we’re healthy!)
  • Cheese
  • Marinara sauce

Stuff your pita bread with your fillings, and either warm up in the microwave for 45 seconds or give it a light toast in the sandwich press. You can swap out your ingredients with: chicken, ham, ricotta, spinach, veggie mix or whatever flavours you.

Noodles

  • Noodles
  • Hot water
  • Seasoning

The easiest and most lazy recipe for you! Whip it all together in a bowl and heat it up in the microwave for at least five minutes. Depending on the noodles you have, you might need to give it a stir and pop it back into the microwave. Remember to make sure the water covers the noodles, so that way they properly cook!

Potato Bake

  • Potato
  • Salsa
  • Black beans

Trust, this one isn’t as hard as it sounds! Pierce the potato multiple times with a fork and microwave it on high for about seven minutes (NTS: will be hot – write safety note). Once all warmed up, slice down the middle and fill it up with your toppings. Other toppings you could have are: ham, feta, aioli, spinach, tomatoes or honestly anything!
