We’re heading in the right direction

Results of the 2018 People Matter Employee Survey are now in. We saw a huge increase in participation across the Transport cluster – nearly 20,000 of you had your say. I would like to personally thank every one of you for taking time out to provide your feedback.

I’m pleased to share the news that our overall employee engagement score for the Transport cluster has increased to 64%, after staying steady on 63% for the last three surveys. This is a small but promising step in the right direction!

More of you said that working here gives you a feeling of personal accomplishment and you’re inspired to do the best in your job, which is great to hear.

The positive shift in these areas paints an encouraging picture of where we’re heading as a Transport cluster.

The survey results also told us we still have a long way to go in many areas – and I’m committed to learning more about what we can do that will make a real difference for you.

We need to continue the conversation, hear more from you on what we should prioritise and keep improving how you feel about working here.

We now have more data than ever before to help us understand the broad range of experiences of our people, in all corners of our state. It will also help us build a better workplace for you.

Look out for more info from your leaders coming soon as we start to get in to the detailed results for your agency and business area.

As a leadership team we will be focusing our efforts where it matters most to you.

Once again, thanks for sharing your feedback – we hear you, we’re putting our people front and centre, and we’ll be taking action to drive positive change across Transport.
