Gearing up for a safe long weekend

The long weekend is well and truly on its way!

Whether you’re planning to get away for Easter or relax in your local area – it’s important we all do our part to stay safe on the roads.

Remember, before you get behind the wheel this Easter:

  • Get a good night’s sleep before driving.
  • Avoid driving at night when your body will naturally want to sleep.
  • If you can, arrange to share the driving.
  • Plan to take regular breaks - stop off at a Driver Reviver, Free Cuppa for the Driver or rest area location.
  • And if you’re feeling tired while driving, always pull over to a safe place and take a nap - 20 minutes works best.
