Your bright ideas can shape the future of Transport

Have you got a bright idea for how we can do things better for our customers, our people or for the greater good? It’s time to let your ideas shine.

Transport Bright Ideas is an innovation challenge that everyone’s invited to take part in and have a role in shaping the future of Transport.

We’re looking for new and innovative ways to create a better experience for our customers, communities and our people.

Ideas can be big or small. For example, it could be playing music on our train stations, or a new way to do our bus timetabling, or how we can utilise an artificial intelligence solution to make our bins smart and automate collection.

If you’ve got a bright idea – we want to hear about it!

Go to https://brightideas.transport.nsw.gov.au

You can also take a look at other people’s ideas and vote on your favourite.

How does it work?

There are two different challenges…

Pitch to the Panel

Pitch to the Panel is an innovation challenge where the top eight selected individuals or teams from across Transport have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to the Secretary and the senior leadership team in November. Some will also have the opportunity to build out the idea with our industry partners like Cisco, Google, or Microsoft for example.

You have until Wednesday 23 September to send in your ideas.

Financial Sustainability

Financial Sustainability is about how we can be smarter with our resources and save money. Support will be provided for all ideas that are endorsed to help them succeed.

You have until Friday 2 October to send in your ideas.
