Wednesday 13 May 2020 - Evolving Transport News

Welcome to Evolving Transport News, your guide to what is happening in the world of Evolving Transport. In every edition you will hear news and key updates from across the 13 workstreams that make up our program of transformation.

Delivering the Evolving Transport Program

With so much happening across the Evolving Transport Program it’s sometimes hard to see how it all fits together. To help explain it, we’ve put together a simple visual on how the Program works including how we coordinate and govern it end-to-end.

Planning and Programs – your chance to find out more this Friday

Join lead Tim Raimond for a live update this Friday as he explains everything you need to know about Planning and Programs work-to-date, what that means for you, and how it will improve customer and community outcomes. This will be YOUR chance to ask Tim and the team any questions about the work being done in this area.

If the link above doesn't work for you please email Suzana Gorgioska for an invite. If for whatever reason you missed the Friday session it will be recorded and available on the Planning and Programs Workstream intranet page.

News on Financial Sustainability

Did you know that Transport is trusted with 15 per cent of the operating budget of NSW Government?

Matt Fuller, Executive Director Commercial and Strategic Projects, gives us an interesting update from the world of the Financial Sustainability Workstream. Matt presented this update to the Corporate Services team at a live event last week.

Finger on the pulse – Leadership, Culture and Behaviour Workstream

As we continue to deliver Evolving Transport, the need for our culture to shift is even greater to ensure we meet our organisational aspirations and sustain them long-term.

We began our journey last year by focusing on customer at the centre, people at the heart, for the greater good in all that we do, and can all agree the disruption of Coronavirus has tested us to move even faster to bring these to life.

We already have a formal check-in across Transport with our annual People Matter Engagement Survey but wanted to create a shorter, more frequent pulse survey to find out what really matters to you right now with things shifting so drastically.

There will be things that are working well, which we couldn’t have imagined two months ago, which we want to carry into recovery post Coronavirus and there will be some things we need to address quickly together.

The Pulse Check survey is live right now, so please take the time to tell us what’s working well for you (so we can do more of it) and anything that isn’t, so we can take action! The Survey closes at midnight this Sunday 17 May.
