Employee Conditions and Entitlements (Non-operational Staff)

If you are an STA non-operational employee, you are not automatically guaranteed a role with the new operator(s).

Our aim is to find jobs for as many of our non-operational staff as possible. This involves exploring opportunities within the Transport Cluster or more broadly within the NSW Government Sector. It also includes facilitating opportunities for comparable roles with the private operators. Together, these form State Transit’s Employee Placement Strategy.

To support the Strategy, we have assigned dedicated resources to provide our non-operational employees with ongoing career transition support. The Strategy and career transition support will continue until the completion of the transition of each Region.

Employee Transfer Arrangements

For those non-operational employees who have the option a comparable position with the new private operator(s) the same Transfer Arrangements as for STA operational staff apply, as outlined below.
