Bringing in 2019 in style!

Each year, Roads and Maritime team up with the TMC to close off the Cahill Expressway and set up a New Year’s extravaganza for almost 7,000 customers to enjoy.

This year, thanks to the help of 50 enthusiastic volunteers from right across the Transport cluster, those customers were able to enjoy New Year's Eve with one of the finest views in the city!

Staff helped out with customer service, wayfinding and assisted our accessible patrons. They even nailed a full pack up and pack down in just 16 hours!

A big thank you goes out to all staff involved, especially for remaining enthusiastic through the storm that rolled through early in the night. The event was a great success and a great example of cross-cluster collaboration.
