A big congratulations goes out to Roads and Maritime Services for taking out not one, but two prestigious Premier’s Awards this week, both in the Delivering Infrastructure category.
Wije Ariyaratne was recognised for his work in developing a means of assessing older bridges to help us improve capacity and increase safety on our road network.
The Pacific Highway team were acknowledged for the successful delivery of the final section of the Pacific Highway Upgrade between Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour. This crucial 150km stretch of upgrade has helped to save lives, reduced travel times, increased economic opportunities and improved the amenity of bypassed towns.
