Global Transport planning guru Richard De Cani shared his insights with TfNSW staff recently, including his experience as chief planner for Transport for London (TfL).

Richard spoke in depth on the opportunities and challenges of long term transport planning , touching on his industry experience and how TfL and other agencies in London are looking to the future.

It’s all part of our research into best practice and learning from other global cities as we develop our Future Transport strategy for the next 40 years.

In a candid interview facilitated by Future Transport Project Director, Kate Wickett, Richard touches on many topical issues relevant here in NSW such as future proofing the system, transport and the housing market, improving car parking, congestion, automated vehicles and security.
