Welcome to The Source

Welcome to The Source! Our new online space for knowledge, information-sharing and OD news.

The purpose of this site is to help us connect better across teams and people within OD, and to provide a source of truth for some of the information that can help us work better together.

We know our people have a lot of knowledge to share, and it's here that you can do that. So please, share what you know and discover - the sort of things that are interesting, useful and helpful. You can also post questions and ask for help from other people in OD.

Have a look around the site and let us know if you have any questions.

Please check out our community guidelines that support positive participation and collaboration on the site.

NAIDOC celebration - OD BBQ at Petersham

    supporting image

Join us at Petersham for a NAIDOC celebration between 12:30 and 1:30pm tomorrow 5th July.

NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to come together to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The 2017 theme - Our Languages Matter - aims to emphasise and celebrate the unique and essential role that Indigenous languages play in cultural identity, linking people to their land and water, and in the transmission of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, spirituality and rites, through story and song. https://vimeo.com/223698276

Big thanks to the huge hearts in OD – including the bakers, the bringers and the donators

THANK YOU EVERYONE! We reached well beyond our goal to raise $1433.85 (at last count.)

And we really do thank everyone. From those, who stayed up late baking, those who purchased a tasty treat to those who donated to our Cancer Council Biggest Morning tea. Everyone's contribution meant we really did have a great morning tea to share with each other. Special thanks to Amanda Shaw who organised the morning tea and to Paul Simmons for sharing his story.

    Our successful cake bidders were:

Strawberry Fields - Rob Easterbrook, $30

Lebanese Baklava – Rabie Nazzal, $50

Mars Bar Cheesecake – Nectaria Veliotis, $70

Coconut Lime Cake – Martine Brieger, $50

Opal Chocolate Mud Cake – Eva Young, $70

Sugar Surprise (Linda’s creation!) – Mukesh Patel, $400!!! (in photo below)
