Staying Connected is Transport's parental leave program designed to support both employees and managers before, during and after a period of parental leave. It provides resources and information to help you plan ahead and maintain effective and ongoing communications during this time.


Information for managers

If you’re a manager with a team member on the Staying Connected program, this section offers you resources to help throughout their period of parental leave.

If you have joined the Staying Connected program and have been given access to the employee online community, click on the button above to login. If you are going on parental leave but haven’t yet been given access, please email the Diversity and Inclusion team.

2019 Return to Work workshop dates now available - Register now!

As a participant of Transport’s Staying Connected program we are very pleased to be able to offer to you the opportunity to attend one of our upcoming Return to Work Workshops. The Return to Work workshop is run quarterly and provides support for working parents coming back to work, to balance their new family with their career.

2019 Return to Work workshops have now been confirmed for the dates below:

  • Wednesday 29th May 2019
  • Tuesday 27th August 2019
  • Monday 25th November 2019

The workshop will run from 10am to 2pm and will be held at Petersham Training Centre, 2 Trafalgar Street Petersham (room 1.05). A nanny service will be available on the day if you wish to bring your child with you to the workshop.

How to Register?
If you have access to Transport Equip you can register using course code STC02.
Alternatively, please email DiversityandInclusion@transport.nsw.gov.au to confirm your attendance & the following information:
  • Your Employee ID
  • Session date you would like to attend
  • If you will be bringing your child / their age
  • Any dietary requirements


Not returning to work just yet? No problem, the Return to Work workshop is run quarterly and more dates for 2020 will be confirmed towards the end of this year.
