Pets of Transport – Meet Dave and Steve

Dave and Steve, they’re as thick as thieves. Especially when their owner – Rebecca England – leaves!

They may be fluffy, they may be cute, but boy oh boy do they wish they could sometimes put their owner on mute.

This week’s edition may leave you with a sneaky suspicion that Dave, Steve and their mum have lots and lots of fun!

Pets of Transport: Dave and Steve, it’s such a pleasure to have you both here today! To kick off, can you tell us a little about what your human does at Transport?

Steve: Dave, you lead the way...

Dave: Our human is the Director of Service Delivery for Sydney Metro - we hope she will take us for a ride from Tallawong to Chatswood as we love trains (you will see us at the Transport Hertiage Expo last weekend in one of our pictures).

PoT: Thanks for that Dave. Now Steve, what’s the strangest or most interesting thing your human does?

S: Mum raps and/or sings made-up dog songs to us every morning and when she gets home at night.... its really embarrassing as the neighbouring dogs can hear! The worst is when she has friends over and starts on the Karaoke and tries to get us to dance.... seriously mum, we don't like it and can't stand on our two hind legs....

PoT: Wow she sounds like fun! So, what do you get up to while your human is at work?

D: We pretend to sulk when mum leaves, then we chill out on the sofa and watch Thomas the Tank Engine (must be transport related viewing so we can advise mum on how to run a railway),!

S: Dave maintains his patrol of the evil possum who torments us from the tree, and we go for walkies with Eric from Mad Dogs & Englishmen Dog Walking - we love to get dirty and dry off on mum's bed

Both: *doggy sniggers*
