Historic week – 1st meeting kicks off

It’s a big week for all of us at NSW TrainLink as we kick off our first independent bargaining meeting for our Enterprise Agreement.

On Thursday the bargaining team will be in Newcastle to meet with the unions and our independent bargaining representatives. The meeting is the first of many scheduled for the coming weeks around the state.

Before now, EAs were negotiated jointly with Sydney Trains which didn’t always give our people at NSW TrainLink the loudest voice. While we know that the unions would prefer that we bargain for a single enterprise agreement covering both NSW TrainLink and Sydney Trains, you’ve said that you’re excited about the chance to have a say about what’s important to you - excited about having an agreement designed by us, for us.

There’s no one size fits all approach. Having an agreement tailored to us and our needs working in regional NSW is a good thing for everyone.
