CE/COO Message - Regional services update

Following on from our message yesterday, about the NSW Government offering a fare free travel for a week for the RTBU to not proceed with the 'November Calendar' industrial action planned during this period, we want to provide further clarification about our regional rail services.

To confirm, people traveling on NSW TrainLink regional rail services who purchase a ticket 12.01am Monday 21 November 2022 until 11.59pm Friday 25 November 2022, will not be charged for their travel. This includes overnight XPT services that depart on Friday 25 November 2022, arriving the following day on Saturday 26 November 2022. This arrangement does not include our regional coach services. Customers will still be required to ‘purchase’ a rail ticket at zero cost for seat allocation and manifest details. This will be actioned on our Customer Reservation System.

Any customer who has already purchased a ticket on a services between the time period stated above will receive a full refund for their pre-purchased ticket/s, which will be organised by us.

If you have any questions, please speak to your people leader.

Take care

Pete & Dale
