After an impressive 12,000 nautical mile journey from Spain, Newcastle’s first tram pulled into the city yesterday marking another milestone for the project.
We’re on the countdown to light rail kicking off early next year, providing customers with convenient turn-up-and-go services across the city every 7.5 minutes in peak times.
Next up, the team will kick off night testing to ensure the trams deliver the safe, efficient and comfortable ride they’re built for. Later on this year, the trams will start testing through the city simulating timetabled services.
