This week’s Pets of Transport is pretty high up and we’re not just talking about his height! He’s got friends in high places and we were lucky enough to get the inside scoop on his owner.
Pet of Transport: What does your human do at Transport?
Reg: Good question! My human is Fiona Gaffney, she works in the Office of the Secretary but she's usually pestering me four or five times a week in my paddock. Fiona is pretty good at talking on the phone and riding at the same time, I've heard many conversations about something called "Rodd Staples' diary". I think Rodd must be pretty popular and busy so she helps him organise his week!
PoT: What do you get up to while your human is at work?
R: I spend most of the day out in the paddock with my friends galloping around and tearing up the grass. We also like to play dangerously close to the electric fence. I'm pretty good at helping my friends escape their paddocks and I like to let myself out of my stable for a wander.
PoT: What’s the strangest or most interesting thing your human does?
R: Talks to me non-stop - I've yet to say a word back to her but she just keeps on chatting. We had some communication issues at the start with her Irish accent but she's finally adapting to the Aussie way. Fiona also likes to make sure I wear matching items with her… No idea why this is important but she loves it – red is our colour apparently!
