I'm Transport Live Conversation series

Live Conversations started in September 2020. In a historic first for Transport, more than 8,500 people from right across the business – frontline, regions, Sydney, and those working from home – came together over three sessions with some special Transport guests, to talk about the great things we’re doing for customers and communities across the state. We heard about how we can make a better future together and guests took questions from the audience.

In this live conversation, we heard from:

Ashley Marino-Shaw and his leader Gloria Bailen from IT Corporate Services, and heard how Ashley, who identifies as being on the Autism spectrum, has been bringing fresh ideas and perspective to his team.

Dave Nalder, Senior Aboriginal Engagement Specialist from Customer Strategy & Technology. He showed us the new work he’s being doing on heritage values assessments by focusing on Aboriginal led delivery, and how knowledge can be repatriated back to community in a meaningful ways through art and song.

John Willoughby from Safety, Environment and Regulation. John’s team developed the mobile phone detection camera program, a world-leading and award-winning innovation to help prevent fatal and serious injury crashes.

Tayla Hallett from NSW TrainLink. As a Bright Ideas finalist, she’s part of a collaboration to create Phone Down Phil, an online transport safety program to meet the unique needs of kids in regional NSW.
