Friday 1 May 2020 - Evolving Transport News

Welcome to Evolving Transport News, your guide to what is happening in the world of Evolving Transport. In every edition you will hear news and key updates from across the 13 workstreams that make up our program of transformation.

Get in touch with the Capital Projects Workstream
With a dedicated team led by Glen Snowden, six agreed commitments are being delivered in the Capital Projects Workstream.

The team are interested to hear from anyone who has been doing work that may intersect with or across the capital projects value chain. This is so we can make sure the work you’ve been doing links into what the workstream is delivering.

Organisational design and senior leadership recruitment update
Next week, you will be hearing from your divisional leaders about the revised approach to org design. Stay tuned for more information.

As per last week’s update, we paused the recruitment of some of our senior leadership roles. However, some executive recruitment is still progressing and being finalised.

On the Evolving Transport Roles and Recruitment webpage you can stay up to date on the latest news on recruitment, including details of roles where recruitment is continuing or on hold, or where roles have been filled.

Updates to the Safety Workstream
The Safety Workstream has been refocusing some of their commitments and timelines – check out their updated roadmap here.

The commitments centre around delivering new ways of working together across Transport, to achieve better safety outcomes for our people, contractors, customers and community. A key priority is the ‘Transport for NSW Safety Management Framework’. This will provide a shared and consistent view of safety standards, responsibilities and requirements for better practice, and continuous improvement.

Asset Management online collaboration session
The Asset Management Workstream has been finding new ways to engage and stay connected with their many stakeholders. The team recently ran and recorded a comprehensive online collaboration attended by more than 100 people. The video of the session is available here, and covers everything you need to know about asset management. You’ll hear from:

  • John Hardwick, ED Asset Management and Workstream Lead
  • Rami Affan, ED Asset Management iNSW
  • David Spiteri, Asset Management Framework Lead
  • Jonathon Deans, Director Transformation Office
  • Jim Modrouvanos, Project Director Asset Management workstream
