On Friday 28 October, I caught up with some of our experts at the Roads and Maritime Services Crashlab facility. The team showed me how they do a number of tests in the laboratory so they can save more lives on our roads.
It was interesting to think about how modern cars are being built differently to be more crash-worthy than ever before.
The next challenge for our experts is to reliably test the emerging crash avoidance technologies that are rapidly appearing in our new cars and steering us towards an automated future.
