Earlier this month we concluded our consultation on the proposal to remove vaccination requirements for all roles at Transport and instead move to strongly recommending our people keep up to date with COVID-19 vaccinations.
We have reviewed your feedback and a decision has been made to end our COVIDSafe Measures Policy effective from 1 September 2022.
Changes from 1 September 2022
Ending the Policy means that while it remains strongly recommended that all workers keep up to date with vaccinations as the best way to protect themselves from risk of serious illness, vaccination will no longer be mandated.
We will continue to apply other key COVID-19 safety measures in our workplaces as appropriate based on the level of risk and in line with our Work Health and Safety obligations and processes. These include mask wearing, diagnostic testing, physical distancing, ventilation, hygiene and cleaning, wellbeing support services along with information and advice programs.
