Get familiar with Transport's change management methodology

The Transport change methodology and toolkit was developed by TfNSW using a combination of best practice, business-relevant approaches and tools.

Designed to support change managers and business leaders successfully manage change within their business, it is a simple roadmap for effective change management and follows a four phase process of scoping, planning, implementing and embedding change.

Each phase is linked to key objectives and the suggested tools and checklists can easily be integrated into existing project management processes or used as a stand-alone method. Other change tools can also be integrated where beneficial.

Adapt the process to suit your needs – read the change toolkit guide for a more detailed description of each phase to help you select the most appropriate steps and tools for your business. Every change tool also provides a complete overview and instructions for use to guide you through using the tool effectively.

Successful delivery of change sits primarily in the capable execution of change, rather than the method or tools. However having a consistent, sound approach and shared toolkit across the Transport cluster is a significant step in supporting a shared change language and practice that drives people engagement and adoption of change.
