Award winning disruption

Brad Donaldson, former Roads and Maritime employee, recently won the Greater Sydney Commission’s Planning Disruptor Award for developing an Australian-first bicycle route database!

The Planning Disruptor Award recognises forward-thinking approaches that disrupt traditional planning methodologies. The NSW bicycle database which is interfaced with Google Maps as Cycleway Finder has transformed the way we collect, organise and share transport data in NSW.

The Active Transport Planning team is working to constantly improve Cycleway Finder with new developments coming in the near future.

Congratulations to Brad for this recognition of his hard work that continues to provide a reliable and innovative service for our active transport customers!
