Aboriginal procurement and employment

Strong economic participation is vital to ensuring Aboriginal people and communities can participate equally and equitably in all areas of life.

Our economic support for Aboriginal people and communities is underpinned by our Aboriginal Participation Strategy, which is aligned with the NSW Government's Aboriginal Procurement Policy.

It is designed to increase supplier diversity and improve social outcomes, by helping to facilitate the procurement of goods and services from Aboriginal-owned businesses and the creation of employment opportunities for Aboriginal people.

  • Download our Aboriginal Participation Strategy to learn more about how we are using it to support and engage Aboriginal businesses and create employment opportunities for Aboriginal people.

  • Visit the Aboriginal Procurement Policy page on the portal for information on the policy, including how to engage an Aboriginal supplier for your goods and services.
