Aboriginal Peak Body Forum
On Wednesday 9 May, I was at Transport’s first Aboriginal Peak Body Forum at the Australian Technology Park.
We had a great turnout from our Aboriginal employees, as well as diversity and inclusion representatives, and more than 100 senior leaders. We also invited stakeholders from key Aboriginal Peak bodies to get their feedback and talk about ways we can increase Aboriginal representation and strengthen partnerships with communities.
I took the opportunity to call out some of the great work we are already doing in this space. But there's a lot more we can do to become even more inclusive and embrace Aboriginal culture.
Well done to everyone involved. Good to see people from each of our agencies getting involved in the conversation. I'm looking forward to seeing the outcomes from the day.
